So first here's a little blurb about me - I am a mother to two wonderful children and a wife to a gracious husband. I absolutely am blessed to be surrounded by friends and family and live up here in the 'true north'. When I am not stuck to my computer or out somewhere behind my camera, I enjoy hanging out on my parents farm with the kids or at our local Brazillian Jui-Jitsu club where our whole family trains.
My first photography job was 6 yrs ago for a friends wedding - I had just picked up my first Canon (Elan 7) 35mm and to say the least I was very nervous! Although when I got all the shots back, that was it, I was hooked. I wanted to figure this whole 'photography' thing out and so began my journey. It seems as time has gone on photography has taken up more and more of my time, energy and focus - in a good way. I am constantly learning and growing and challenging myself to be the best I can be. This is my craft, my trade and it is a collection of artistic and technical skills that I intend to continue to invest my time and energy into developing even more.
Sylistically I love capturing photos that reflect the emotional climate of the moment and are a true representation of those in the photo. I primarly do location and outdoor shoots as I have yet to set up a studio, although I do have enough gear to set up 'shop' in your home or mine as needed. I often find for newborn shoots that it is nice to at least do part of the shoot indoors.
