Haak Family Photos and Some News (Which is Fun - To Me at Least)

I have been just itching to share these photos with you but I was off on a little road trip this past weekend so you had to wait. (Hard wasn't it...lol)

It was just a great morning of shooting for me  - and I sure hope the family had an ok time as well!

BUT

Before I get too carried away I also wanted to share some cool news - I am officially a part of my first wedding trade show coming up in the middle of October.  I was initially put on a wait list but due to someone dropping out I am now trying to pull everything together with only three weeks to go!! Crazy, Fun, Exciting, Terrifying and all sorts of Good. :)

Ok but back to the photos...here are some of this beautiful family and their ridiculously photogenic children :)

The Surprise....

I was doing a family photo session today (oops yesterday now...hello midnight) and one of my little subjects was struggling with the whole notion of sitting still (who can blame her really)
In an attempt to encourage such stillness the promise of candy was made - although this little button was unwilling to wait until after the session dug in just before her turn for her individual pictures.  So she arrived in front of me with a little lollipop in hand.  They turned out so well I just had to share.
I am sure her mom will be surprised, just as much as I was, how photogenic a lollipop can be  :)
I stand corrected - first came the teddy and then the lollipop

Ah here we go - Lollipops ahoy!

Isn't she just adorable

One of my favourite surprises of the day

I have a whole bunch more from this photoshoot that I want to share but you will just have to wait a bit longer because I really need to go to bed.

Bring on the Falls....

So back at the end of August I did a pretty unique photo shoot - 12 families out at a local park that boasts a very pretty waterfall.  Yes I did say 12 families - it was originally going to be 16 but someone had mercy on my soul.
lol
Actually the shoot went so smoothly it really made all of my previous worries seem silly.  The families were all a part of a local mom's group out on a family picnic day...I was just the side attraction.  We all hiked on on up to the falls and then began quickly moving through the photos.  My only regret is that we weren't able to do more locations and get more shots!! (but if left up to the photographer I am sure no one would have been let go to go enjoy the picnic!!)

Anyway I had a great time and thought I would share just a couple of the photos from the day.

What came before the Profile Pic...

Alright so the other day....before I ever attempted to do my own self portrait - I was trying to get some pictures of my own kids.  I wasn't completely satisfied by the pictures I got of them at Davidson Orchards earlier in the summer so I thought I would give it a go with the studio equipment and the whole morning at my disposal.  Here is what I got...and I couldn't choose which ones to print off so I decided to do a photo collage of them all. (Although I am still looking for a program so that I can do that online as well!)
